My hair has always been oily. Then when I was pregnant it was dry. Now it has dandruff, and I don’t know if that makes is dry or oily. But it was something to solve, and I like what I found at Target — Shea Moisture. My favorite product is the hair masque; my hair feels so soft after.
Then there are other days where there isn’t time to wash my hair. I just started using Batiste Dry Shampoo and so far so good. And for when your aim is off and you spray your face, these YesTo facial wipes are perfect! These products can also be found at Target.
For Mother’s Day, Scott and I put together new cabinets in an effort to reclaim some counter space. We had dinner on Saturday because we finally found a restaurant that served poutine which we have wanted to try again since having it 3 years ago in Canada. So on actual Mother’s Day, I ended up taking care of two sick kiddos, but that’s how it goes.
Hoping to tackle many DIY projects around the house this year. First up – linen closet. We have one linen closet and no coat closet. I purged the linen closet so we could bust out the bottom half of the shelves and install a clothes rod. Now we have a linen/coat closet. Not glamorous, but yay for better storage.
My two weeks of winter break and lounging around are coming to a close. It’s been a good break. Time to prepare for the rest of the school year and say goodbye 2015. So far my only goal for 2016 is to continue to purge the house and mainly my closet. I’m going to turn my hangers all the same way so I know what I really wear. I also read once that celebrities figure out a look that works for them and just keep repeating it, so I’ll be embracing skinny, cropped pants, long loose tops and lots of gray – should be interesting or maybe boring.
This week: Red ribbon week at school (I spared you pajama day and I forgot to take a picture of storybook character day. I was the teacher from Brown Bear, Brown Bear. Maggie was not impressed because I’m already a teacher); finding fleas in our house – a parting gift from the family of stray cats that were living in our backyard; Halloween – Elise was anti-dressing up but at the last minute decided to wear the ears and wings of her bat costume
