Elise And Music

(First, it feels like we’re so busy chasing Elise around the house and documenting every moment of her exciting little life that it’s hard to actually find time to post all of the pictures and videos we capture. Allow me to play catch up this week by throwing a few videos at you.)

Elise has always been a big fan of music, but lately she has developed some dance moves to go along with her love of music. Check out these three videos:

Another fun thing Elise has developed is a habit of dropping things on the floor and then saying something resembling “uh oh.” Of course, it sounds more like “uh eh.” I think it translates to, “Pick that up for me so I can drop it again.”

Transition

So, this week Scott and I are both back at work and Elise is at an in-home daycare. Elise will be at the daycare for 4 weeks, and then she will start school in the infant class at my preschool. We are very glad that Elise got into the infant class before August 2009.

Anyway, Monday Elise had a “bad day” according to the sitter, but that was to expected on her first day away from mommy and daddy – she’d better miss us! :) Then Tuesday, the sitter said she cried less, and Wednesday she finally took two short naps. She capped of her great Wednesday by waking up coughing, causing herself to vomit all over her and Scott. I was busily filing our taxes when I hear, “Oh no, Oh no, Oh no,…Annie, I need help,” nevermind I heard the coughing and vomitting through the monitor, too, so I cleaned up Elise, Scott cleaned up himself, and Elise went back to sleep.

Scott took Elise to the doctor today, and the doctor decided Elise had a sinus infection which is good because when I took her last week they said she was just fighting a virus and to let her keep fighting it. :) Ahh, good times in the McClellan household. I decided to spare you pictures of the vomit. Don’t worry, I didn’t really take any.

Windows, Boxes, and Cooking

Elise and I have been hanging out during our week off. This was her last week at home; she starts with the sitter/in-home daycare on Monday. Elise has already been home three months. Crazy!

Hand Me Downs

Elise’s uncle Andrew and Ben had a baby t-shirt that my Anky Mina (Aunt Mary Ellen) cross stitched for them almost 20 years ago. My sister found the t-shirt on a baby doll at my parents’ house and gave it to Elise. It’s pretty cute!

Persistance

So, these picture are from about a month ago, but they demonstrate Elise’s persistance to get all things electronic.

Nine Months Old Already?

Our little girl turned nine months old on Wednesday. Can you believe that? Me either. Here’s a quick video of her playing with a new toy last weekend.

Does she really say “bye bye” at the end?

Bundled Up

On the last Saturday of February, we made a trip out to Lake Cypress Springs in Mount Vernon to hang out with our Bible Community which was the same weekend a cold front blew in; it was in the twenties.

This lasted about 30 seconds. Then she fell over and had a melt down, so we went inside.
