Erin started dating Johnny and hanging out with our family 3 years ago.
Erin has been so fun to have around; she loves coming to family events and supporting what our family is doing (like giving me tips on how to do a bun for a ballerina and coming to dance recitals).
After about 2 years, I think we were all ready to propose for Johnny, but he had a plan. Needless to say, we were all very excited when Johnny proposed at hisĀ Dallas Fire Academy Burn Night, and Erin was, too.
Elise especially loves Erin, and Johnny and Erin were both so kind to babysit for us about 8 weeks in a row in 2010 even though Elise came to dread to seeing them. Luckily, Elise moved passed that and was thrilled to be a flower girl at their wedding.
We had a lot of fun at Johnny and Erin’s wedding Saturday, November 5, and even Maggie got to have some fun dancing. Happy two week anniversary guys!
We find it hard to believe that it has already been 6 months since Maggie was born, and she is doing everything. Maggie eats solid food like a champ; she has loved everything she has tried. She rolls all over the place, is rocking on her hands and knees, and we often find her sitting up in her bed. It’s fun to have seen everything progress from day one. But now that Maggie has reach 6 months, Scott and I are in familiar territory; this is the staged we started in with Elise. It’s nice to be getting the stages we have some knowledge about. Hopefully, we won’t feel so clueless anymore, but I’m sure it’s possible. So far the new thing is keeping up with a fast growing baby. Maggie had her 6 month check up, and she is 17 pounds (70%) and 27 inches (90%) and in 6-12 month and 9 month clothes – next stop 12 month clothing:)
Poor Magmo likes her sleep, but taking her big sister to school and ballet compromises Maggie’s beauty sleep. The little sweetie has had a tough week, but October was a big month for her. She started solid foods, got too big for her infant bath, tried swinging at the park, had her first Halloween, visited Uncle Johnny at the fire station, and sometimes rocks on her hands and knees in her bed – she has no idea how to do it when she’s fully awake. And Elise is still trucking along being Elise; she’s excited about her big debut as a flower girl at uncle Johnny’s and Erin’s wedding tomorrow, November 5.
