Schuster Institute Releases Results of VN Investigation
I recently started following the website, Voices for Vietnam Adoption Integrity, http://www.adoptionintegrity.com/. So far, it’s been a bearer of bad news. It’s not a pretty picture that’s being painted about adoptions from Vietnam; it’s very sad. Here’s the lastest: http://www.brandeis.edu/investigate/gender/adoption/vietnam.html.
The article has a link to some of the provinces that had issues http://www.brandeis.edu/investigate/gender/adoption/byprovince.html. Here’s a map of the provinces in Vietnam: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:VietnameseProvincesMap.png. Elise is from DaNang which is it’s own small province; it’s not listed as a problem area. We have no reason to believe anything shady about Elise’s adoption, but it’s just a sad situation — sad for the children and families who were caught in the middle.
My prayer is that there will be some good that comes of all of this: “Don’t you see, you planned evil against me but God used those same plans for my good…” Genesis 50:20, The Message
